Suze’s Money Motivation

Published by violetteb under Announcements Edit This

Well we don’t want to miss Suze’s Money Motivation this Saturday 9 pm and Midnight on CNBC’s The Suze Orman Show. It is too bad this wasn’t airing Thanksgiving night before we all headed out at the break of dawn to stand in line hoping to be one of the first to enter a store and turn over our hard earned cash or borrow credit that is running near empty. (This I didn’t do.)

Hopefully you came home today or will arrive this evening with something left in your account or an available balance on your credit cards. Whether you did or didn’t, if you need to make sense of where you are Suze has it covered in her Expense Sheet. Download Suze’s Expense Sheet and do some planning. Get a look at what you have coming in and going out. Time to plan a new year of budgeting.

Suze Orman Explains Your FICO Score

Published by michaelnolan under Videos Edit This

A lot of people don’t understand the difference between their credit score and their FICO score.  Suze Orman does a great job of explaining this difference in great detail in this video clip from the Suze Orman Show on CNBC:

 Key points:

  • Every credit-related action is reported to a credit reporting agency
  • car payments to Equifax, mortgage payments to Transunion
  • Interest Rate is determined by FICO Score
Low FICO Score = higher interest on loans, credit cards
  • 3 Separate FICO Scores: one for each credit reporting agency
each agency reports to FICO individually
  • 90% of major lenders use FICO Score to determine your Interest Rate

Suze Orman Fans Unite!

Published by violetteb under Announcements Edit This

Welcome to Today.com’s Suze Orman Community Fan Blog.

We need a place to join together, share advice, and keep up-to-date on all things Suze Orman. If you didn’t think much of her or you were unfamiliar with her work, certainly after the Wall Street bailout and the current talk of recession you’ve seen her on one show or another constantly telling us what we need to do to prepare ourselves for a new way of thinking about our finances. These are the very messages she has shared with millions of people before our economy took a turn for the worse.

If her messages were relevant yesterday, they can only be more relevant today. We’ve watched the news and have felt out of control. We’ve either lost what we’ve built up over the years or we’re greatly concerned by what we don’t have to get us through these tough times. Her sage advice will enable us to take control of our finances so we can put this all behind us and have control of our tomorrow.

Let’s take a moment every day to talk Suze.
